Course Description This course on ethics for helping professionals is designed to review current ethical guidelines, bring real-world dilemmas into the discussion, and encourage peer consultation as a method of reducing ethical missteps. Together, we will explore a range of ethical issues such as self-disclosure, dual relationships, and reporting. Participants will have the opportunity to practice peer consultations in real time. Objectives To review current ethical guidelines for various helping professions To identify common grey areas and missteps To practice presenting ethical questions for peer consultation
